Ask contributors extra questions

You can ask contributors extra questions when they give, such as how they heard about you. You keep your questions in one library, then choose which ones each form asks.

Build your question library

  1. Click the gear icon to open Settings.
  2. Go to Contributor questions.
  3. Add questions in one of these ways:
    • Click Start from three common ones to add a ready-made set.
    • Click New question or Write your own to write a question.

A good first question is "How did you hear about us?". It tells you where to spend next.

The page shows three counts:

  • Questions: how many you've written.
  • On a live form: how many are asked on a live form.
  • Answers collected: answers arrive with the payment.

Some contributor details are set by your organization's compliance settings, not here. See Settings → Compliance → Contributor details.

Choose the questions a form asks

  1. Go to Forms and open the form.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Under Additional questions, click Add question.
  4. Choose whether each question is required. This is set per form.

The form's Overview tab lists its questions under Details.

Each form only asks the questions you add to it. Adding a question to the library doesn't add it to your forms.
