# Connecting Action Network

Connect Action Network to send your SmartChange fundraising activity to it. SmartChange creates a fundraising page in Action Network for each form and records each contribution there with the person who gave.

### Before you start: find your API key in Action Network

1. In Action Network, go to **Start Organizing → Details → API & Sync**.
2. Copy your group's OSDI API key.

### Connect Action Network in SmartChange

1. Open your organization in SmartChange.
2. In the left sidebar, click **More → Developer**, then **Integrations**.
3. Find the **Action Network** card. It is labeled **CRM · Outbound** and shows **Not connected** until you connect it.
4. Open the card, paste your OSDI API key, and save.

Enter the key on the Integrations page only. Never paste it into the Agent.

### What gets sent

- Each form → a fundraising page in Action Network
- Each contribution → a record in Action Network, with the person who gave

All data flows one way: from SmartChange to Action Network.

### If it stops syncing

The integration shows under **Needs attention** on the Integrations page. Nothing is lost. Records queue and go through once you reconnect.
