# Design your form

The form designer controls how your form's page looks: the cover image, profile image, colors, layout, and content blocks. Checkout steps, payment methods, and the legal footer are set by SmartChange, so they look the same on every form.

### Open the designer

1. Click **Forms** and open your form.
2. Click **Actions → Edit design**. You can also go to the **Settings** tab and click **Open the designer** under **How the form looks**.

### Add content blocks

Choose the blocks to show on the page:

- **Hero image**
- **Description**
- **Profile image**
- **Progress & goal**
- **Testimonial**
- **FAQ**
- **Photo gallery**
- **Embedded video**
- **Tickets** (event forms only)

### Choose a layout

Pick **Hero band**, **Form + summary**, **Single column**, **Story + form**, **Split**, or **Floating**. Set **Form position** to **Left** or **Right**.

### Set the look

- **Theme**: Warm sand, Deep ink, Cool slate, or Press (serif).
- **Font**: Geist, Instrument Serif, or Monospace.
- **Corners**: Sharp, Soft, or Round.
- **Colors**: Background, Cards, and Text.

### Preview and share

Switch between the desktop and mobile preview before you share. Click **Share** to get the link, or **Back to form** to return to the form.

### Save as template

Click **Save as template** to reuse this design on other forms.

### Design tips

- Check both desktop and mobile. Layouts change with screen size.
- Keep text and faces away from the edges of your hero image. Smaller screens may crop them.
- The legal footer uses the registration line, contribution rules, and Privacy Policy from **Settings → Compliance → Donation form & receipts**.
