# How SmartChange Helps You Keep More

SmartChange keeps its pricing simple so you know what you'll pay and keep more of what you raise.

### One clear fee

You pay one fee per contribution. Card processing is included. The fee is deducted from your payout. The rate depends on your plan:

- **Standard:** 3.75% + 25¢ per contribution, with no monthly charge.
- **Growth:** 3.65% + 25¢ per contribution, $25 a month.
- **Professional:** 3.55% + 25¢ per contribution, $75 a month.

You can see your organization's rate in **Settings → General**, in the **Platform fee** card.

### Contributors can choose to cover the fee

At checkout, contributors can choose to cover the fee. When they do, you receive the full amount of their contribution. Some contributors will opt out. In that case the fee comes out of the contribution, so the amount you receive is less than the amount given.

### No tips

Some platforms fund themselves by asking donors for a tip at checkout. That money goes to the platform, not to you, and it can confuse donors. SmartChange does not ask contributors for a tip. The only ask is whether they want to cover the fee.

### See how much contributors covered

- On the **Dashboard**, the Finance card **Additional fees covered** shows how much extra you raised, and from how many contributors, because they chose to cover the fee. It covers the last 30 days.
- In **Reporting**, the **Fee cover** report shows the detail. You can filter it by form, export it, or schedule it.
