# How to Switch from Manual to Automatic Payouts

Automatic payouts send your money to your bank on a set schedule, so you don't have to start each transfer yourself.

### Check your current schedule

Go to **Settings → General → Payouts**. You'll see your schedule (for example, "Paying out weekly, every Monday"), your **Schedule**, your **Next payout**, and when the account was **Connected**.

### Payout frequency depends on your plan

- **Standard:** weekly payouts
- **Growth:** weekly and monthly payouts
- **Professional:** daily, weekly, and monthly payouts

### Switch to automatic payouts

Important: Always open Stripe from SmartChange rather than logging in to [stripe.com](https://stripe.com) directly. This makes sure you edit the correct connected account and not an unrelated Stripe account.

1. In **Settings → General → Payouts**, click **Edit on Stripe**.
2. Once Stripe opens, click the **Settings** gear in the upper right corner.
3. Under Account Settings, click **Business**.
4. Under Business, click **Bank Accounts & Currencies**.
5. Scroll down to **+ Payout Schedule**.
6. Select **Automatic** and choose a frequency your plan includes.
7. Click **Save**.

Your payouts now go out automatically on the schedule you chose.

### See your payouts

Go to **Finance → Payouts**. The top shows what's **Available**, what's **Clearing**, and what was **Paid out this month**. The list shows every payout with its **Net to bank**, when it **Arrives**, how many **Payments** it holds, and its **Status**. Open a payout to see the payments inside it.

Payments settle two business days after they're given, so a payment late in the week lands in the following transfer.
