Link your Bank + Start Taking Donations

You're gonna raise so much money on SmartChange!! And we need to send that money to your bank.

Once you've created a campaign, you'll be prompted to connect a bank account by verifying it through Stripe.

This step can be completed at a later time by visiting the dashboard. You won't be able to access donations until your bank is connected and verified.

Log in, click the appropriate campaign in your dashboard, then click "Start Verification"



You'll be redirected to Stripe and will see a message that says, "Level Wins partners with Stripe to provide secure donations."

WHO IS LEVEL WINS? Level Wins is SmartChange's parent company. As we expand our services, this is an easy way for us to share administrative services across our platforms.

If you already have a stripe account and want to connect SmartChange to your existing account - you'll provide your email, verification, and confirm which account you want to link to Level Wins. SO EASY.
Follow the instructions to verify your bank account through Stripe. You will need the following information:
-Location
-Type of Business
-Legal Business Name
-Your DOB
-PHYSICAL street address
-Last four of your SSN
-Phone number
-Online banking credentials OR routing & account numbers

Your Type of Business

Do you have an EIN? if so, you'll likely be classified as a non-profit. If you are an LLC, pick "Company" when asked to provide your business type. If you are operating without an EIN, you will need to sign up as an "Individual" for business type.

Your Industry

You'll be asked to share your industry. When asked to share your industry, if you are a nonprofit, type in nonprofit.

Payouts

You'll be asked how often you'd like your payouts. You can choose manually or automatically. We recommend choosing automatic payouts so you can also get your payout reports "batched" together. However, if you want to move to less frequent payouts, please email us at hi@smartchange.app, and we'll walk you through the process. Please note that if you select manual payouts, then there are no batch reports.

Troubleshooting tips



Your account name must be exactly the same as the account you set up in Stripe for verification purposes and must match your organizational paperwork exactly.

You will only be able to see and change a verified bank account to accept donations in Stripe, not in SmartChange.

If you don't have a website, you can use a Facebook, Linked In, or Instagram profile. You must properly format the information and include www. and . com.

Occasionally, someone will select an incorrect business type. If that happens, it's easy to fix. Just log into Stripe (www.stripe.com) and click the icon gear in the upper right corner. Then select settings > business settings > more > tax information. From there, if you initially chose "individual" but meant to choose "non-profit," this is where you can correct the information.
