Connecting Action Network

Connect Action Network to send your SmartChange fundraising activity to it. SmartChange creates a fundraising page in Action Network for each form and records each contribution there with the person who gave.


Before you start: find your API key in Action Network


  1. In Action Network, go to Start Organizing → Details → API & Sync.
  2. Copy your group's OSDI API key.


Connect Action Network in SmartChange


  1. Open your organization in SmartChange.
  2. In the left sidebar, click More → Developer, then Integrations.
  3. Find the Action Network card. It is labeled CRM · Outbound and shows Not connected until you connect it.
  4. Open the card, paste your OSDI API key, and save.

Enter the key on the Integrations page only. Never paste it into the Agent.


What gets sent


  • Each form → a fundraising page in Action Network
  • Each contribution → a record in Action Network, with the person who gave


All data flows one way: from SmartChange to Action Network.


If it stops syncing


The integration shows under Needs attention on the Integrations page. Nothing is lost. Records queue and go through once you reconnect.
