Form visibility: Public, Hidden, and Hidden Plus
Visibility controls where people can find your form. It doesn't lock the form: anyone with the link can always open it and contribute.
The three settings
- Public: listed wherever SmartChange lists forms, and visible to search engines.
- Hidden: SmartChange doesn't list the form. Search engines can still find it.
- Hidden Plus: SmartChange doesn't list the form, and it is excluded from most search engines.
Use Hidden or Hidden Plus for forms you only share directly, such as a house party page or a link for one email.
Set visibility when you create a form
Choose it on the second step of Forms → New form, under What are you raising for?

Change visibility later
- Click Forms and open the form.
- Click the Settings tab, then Advanced settings.
- Under Visibility, choose Public, Hidden, or Hidden Plus.
- Click Save changes.

The form's current visibility also shows under Details on the form's Overview tab.
Organization visibility is separate
Your organization has its own visibility setting in Settings → General → Visibility. A new organization starts private. Publish it there once payments are connected. A live organization can use Pause new gifts there to stop new contributions to every form. Recurring contributions keep charging.
To stop a form taking payments, visibility is not the right tool. Use Actions → Pause form, or Close form in the form's Settings tab.
